PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a focusing operation warning device of an automatic focusing camera of a moving film plane type capable of quickly and effectively performing focusing operation display by mainly using manual focusing by means of the manual adjustment of a lens distance ring and using automatic focusing as an auxiliary means. SOLUTION: A defocusing amount to a focus is calculated by means of a range finding signal obtained based on the adjusting position of a distance ring of a photographic lens. A range finding CPU 36 displays whether or not the defocusing amount falls within a controllable range from the reference position of a back-focus in a warning display part 34. When it is within the controllable range, focusing feasible is displayed, the back focus is corrected by release operation by a photographer and an optical axis unit is brought to the focal position. Thereafter, a camera operating CPU 38 performs photographing operation and the optical axis unit is returned to the original reference position after completion of photographing. If not in the controllable range, warning display is done so that the photographer rotates again the distance ring. |
