PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow map operation and information search for an area, not shown on a screen, while preventing the lowering of processing speed and enhancing a voice recognizing factor by determining recognized words in a voice recognizing part limited to place name information in relation only to a predicted vehicle traveling area. SOLUTION: Voice recognizing data for places as well as map data is stored in a map database in terms of latitudes and longitudes. A recognized word determining part 7 limits recognized words in consideration of current place data obtained from a route guide 6. In case that a desination is set and a vehicle travels along a recommended route to a destination searched by the guide 6, the recognized words are limited in consideration of the position of the destination and the recommended route. In addition, a key word excluding a place is simultaneously recognized to limit the recognized words. In the state of waiting for receiving azimuth information, a recognized area is determined, place name data is read, the discrimunation processing of the place name data is performed and a recognized word group is transmitted to a voice recognizing part 4. |
