<p>The fabrication procedure involves forming the electromagnetic sheath that protects the cable bundle where the cable bundle branches. A ring (b2) is fitted round the outside of the cable bundle before the branch. The protective sheath of the cable is slit to allow emergence of a branch (B2) beyond the ring. The protective sheath (EG1) is closed over the continuing part of the cable bundle, and a second ring fitted over the first ring, overlapping the end of the sheath and clamping it in place. The rings are of an electrically conductive material, and are of a flexible material coated with adhesive.</p> |
