摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to charge a storage device even while a car is stopping and supply motive power to driving wheels even when the car is stopping or it is running at low speeds by providing the car with a means that switches a mode from the one at which motive power generated by an internal combustion engine is differentially distributed to the driving wheels and a first rotary electric machine to the one at which the motive power is distributed onto to the first rotary electric machine. SOLUTION: In a car, a motive power distribution mechanism 38 is installed that distributes the output torque of an internal combustion engine 28 to a generator 24 and a motor 10. Between the motive power distribution mechanism 38 and the motor 10, a blocking mechanism 40 and a clutch 36 are installed in this order. By connecting or disconnecting the motive power distribution mechanism 38 and the motor 10 by means of the clutch 36, an efficiency to transmit motive power from the internal combustion engine 28 to driving wheels 14 can be kept high independent of a speed of the car and a battery 18 can be charged while the car is stopping.
