<p>Conditioning process, in particular for bottles of "grands crus" wines, consisting of, after opening the bottle (2) which is to be reconditioned, doing a preliminary test for the organoleptic qualities of the wine it contains, then connecting the chosen bottle (2) to a source of inert gas (9) and at least one individual container (4) of reduced volume also held with an inert atmosphere, transferring a fraction of the wine from the bottle to the individual container and the hermetically sealing the container after it has been filled. Device to carry out the above process, comprising a conditioning bank for the automatic transfer of the containers in the vertical position from a filling station to a sealing station, a flexible connection linking the bottle of wine to the inert gas source and a second flexible connection linking the bottle to at least one individual container via a pump. Another flexible connection links the container to a second source of inert gas.
