<p>The retractable tool carrier has a support (2) with a series of housings round its perimeter, each housing a particular tool. The tool carrier is in the form of a sector of a circle or a half moon, and has a drive controlling rotation of the tool carrier around its axis (X). The tool carrier is displaced from a position where it returns entirely inside its housing to one of a number of positions where a tool is presented in the working zone. The support for the tool carrier is fitted with a cover (4) which when the tool carrier is retracted closes to cover the tools. The tool carrier carries a transducer which can recognise the tool presented in the working zone. This transducer can also precisely detect the position of the tool.</p> |
