PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a character string predicting method-improving the operability and the character string predicting device using this method by exhibiting the character string appearing within the same document as a predicted character string to an inputting person, based on preliminarily preserved information, when the character string instructing the character string within the same document is inputted. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a character string input part 100, a KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) dictionary 101, an instructed character string dictionary 102, an instructed character string decision part 103, a KANJI conversion part 104, a part of speech information preservation part 105, a character string- part of speech buffer 106, a display part 107, a character string to be instructed selection control part 108, a character string take-out part 109, a character string selection part 110 and an output part 111. When the part of speech information obtained by a KANA-KANJI converting method, etc., is preserved with a vocabulary and an inputted character string is an instructed character string instructing the phrase within the same document, a character string is taken out from the sentence inputted till the point in time, based on the preserved information and the character string is outputted as a predicted character string. |
