<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a uniform coated layer with the minimum coating, increase productivity and durability of image quality, and uniform and stabilize electrification at the same time by forming a coated later using polyfunctional organic peroxide polymerization initiator. SOLUTION: In a process where polymer particles with coated layer or toner coated layer is formed, a polyfunctional organic peroxide polymerization initiator is used. As the coated layer becomes thinner, the uniformity of coating on resin particles becomes a more important factor. Therefore, more coating stability can be obtained by the use of the organic peroxide initiator which is provided with at least two or more functional groups. Namely, though the polyfuncticonal organic peroxide polymerization initiator has a property to bind it to a polymerization chain end in the polymerization process, the polymerization initiator has a function to stabilize a forming coated layer at the beginning of the polymerization and, after polymerization, a polymerization chain can also be changed into three dimensional one. Thus the strength of the coated particle surfaces and the uniformity of the surfaces can be increased at the same time.</p> |
