PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for generating a simulated marine wave image which is expressed by a triangle wave mesh and is rich in reality and by which a high speed processing can be performed. SOLUTION: The initialization of a field of vision range is performed according to a field of vision range height h from the surface of the sea (100), each intersected point (x, y, and z coordinates, z-0) of a three-dimensional mesh extending to the field of vision range is calculated (101) and each intersected point is stored in a mesh data storage part. The quantized data of 'fluctuation' modulating the quantized data of the wave height pattern changing by a sine wave and as wave pattern according to the time lapse is calculated and is made into a table (103). After the initial data of an image display such as a range of visibility, etc., is inputted, a wave height calculation is started (300). At first, the x and y coordinates of each intersected point is converted into the X and Y of a word coordinate system (301). Based on the X and Y, the quantizied point of the wave pattern and the quantized point of fluctuation are determined (302 and 303). The wave height synthesizing retrieved table data is imparted to a Z coordinate (304). |
