PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an IC socket free from the possibility that an integrated circuit is damaged at the time of maintenance check, by pressing lead terminals of the integrated circuit wherein a pressure board is inserted along the side surface of a contact segment of a joint body against the side surface of the contact segment. SOLUTION: In the state that a press board 15 is opened, lead terminals 3 are inserted along the side surface of 3 contact segment 21 of a joint body 20, and an integrated circuit 1 is mounted on the housing 11 of an IC socket. When the press board 15 is closed, the side surfaces of the lead terminals 3 are pressed against the side surface of the contact segment 21. In order to extract the integrated circuit 1, the press board 15 is opened. Thereby the contact between the lead terminals and the joint body 20 is released. Hence, by lifting the integrated circuit 1, it can be simply extracted from the IC socket without bending the lead terminals, so that an IC socket free from the possibility that an integrated circuit is damaged at the time of maintenance check. |
