A fatty, storable, mixable, redissolvable and readily resorbable powder product for nutritional and fodder purposes is obtained by finely dispersing an animal or vegetable fat in a hydrous solution of a gelatisable macromolecular substance, for example gelatine, polysaccherides, starch, or a water-soluble synthetic non-toxic high polymer, adding to the so formed emulsion a carbohydrate, which is preferably crystallisable, which keeps the coating substances elastic, and drying the emulsion and converting it into a powdery form. Essential amino acids or fatty acids may be added prior to drying. Other optional additives include substances which promote adsorption of fats in the digestive tract. such as lecithin. |
