The wheelbarrow comprises a chassis (1), formed from two arms (5) ended by handles (2), support legs (3) and a load compartment (4). The wheel (7) is mounted on an axle (8) carried by a support guide cradle (9) connected under the chassis front. The cradle takes the wheel in a pulled down position and allows it to effect only a vertical clearance movement in the wheelbarrow median plane, but fixed in the longitudinal direction. The cradle is formed from two symmetrical parts each having two arms connected by a pivot. One of the arms is fixed to the corresponding chassis branch. The other arm carries the wheel. The cradle positions the wheel axle when the wheelbarrow is loaded in the normal position of a wheel axle relative to the load compartment and the handles. A suspension spring(10) is provided between the chassis and the wheel.
