A building set toothed rack 20 has along one outer surface a row of teeth 24 and a re-entrant groove or tenon along another surface to interlock in the building bricks. The rack may be hollow, of square cross-section, and have additional reentrant grooves and/or tenons along the side or end surfaces, facing either inwards or outwards. The teeth may be protected by lateral guide walls, and the toothed rack may be of the same width as a building brick; or may have internal width slightly larger than the external width of a building brick, so that the brick can be inserted into the hollow rack. It may be used to mesh with a pinion 30 carried on a shaft 31 carried by bricks interlocking with the similar bricks that carry the rack. |
