New sterilizing, preservative and detergent composition for contact lens is composed of 0.01wt.% of tetradecyl tri(aminoethyl)glycine= HCL, 0.2-0.5 wt.% of sodium chloride, 0.5 wt.% of boric acid, and distilled water. For an example, 3g of common salt is melted in 1L distilled water to give saline water, which is mixed with 0.0001 wt.% of tetradecyl tri(aminoethyl)glycine= HCL and 0.5 wt.% of boric acid. The composition is harmless to a human being and shows a good bactericidal activity.
