Titanium carbide is manufactured by SHS method, wherein titanium and graphite powder of sheet-shaped having a particle size of less than 0.5um in diameter obtained by means of a attrition milling method are mixed and molded maintaining mol ration of 1:1-1:1.6 = titanium : graphite powder, thereby eventually titanium carbide of a good crystalloid with high purity being produced.
