FIELD: mechanical engineering; automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: engine housing is made in form of cylindrical flat detachable box on outer surface of which cylinders with pistons and double rods are uniformly spaced over circumference. Rods are connected by cross links on each end of which two different size bearings are installed for rolling along side wall of two-step slot made in both inner end faces of housing. Antifriction bearing installed on link of each cylinder along its axis engages with outer surface of multicam rotor installed on shaft coaxially with housing. Links of rods of each pair of cylinders arranged at opposite sides of housing on one diametral axis are connected by tie-rods for adjustment of length by means of frame and adjusters connecting free ends of rods. Adjusters are installed with clearance relative to diameter of rotor shaft. Frames of all pairs of cylinders are spaced over rotor shaft length to provide unobstructed reciprocation. Axes of each pair of opposite pistons, rods, links and tie-rods are in one diametral axial plane. EFFECT: simplified design, increased power, reduced inertia forces and friction losses, improved balancing. |
