PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the storage stability and chemical resistance of ground by a method wherein 2,4-dihydroxy-N-2'-methoxy benzanilide is used as a chelating agent in the heat-sensitive recording body having a heat-sensitive recording layer, a color developing component of which consists of aliphatic ferric salt and the chelating agent, on support. SOLUTION: In this heat-sensitive recording body, which develops color by a chelate compound formed through the fusion and reaction of components in a heat-sensitive recording layer under the condition that a polyhydric phenol is used as a chelating agent, a defect such as ground fogging tends to develop when the heat-sensitive recording body is kept under high temperature and high humidity atmosphere. In order to solve the above defect, 2,4-dihydroxy-N-2'- methoxy benzanilide is used a as chelating agent. As the ratio used in the case between an aliphatic ferric salt and 2,4-dihydroxy-N-2'-methoxy benzanilide, for example, 0.1-10 pts.wt. of 2,4-dihydrozy-N-2'-methoxy benzanilide is set to 1 pt.wt. of the aliphatic ferric salt. |
