PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fiber composite sheet extremely high in the impregnation properties of a thermoplastic resin and excellent in quality by stably and certainly infiltrating a powdery thermoplastic resin into the interstices between respective monofilaments of continuous reinforcing bundles to independently and cleanly dispersing and opening the respective monofilaments. SOLUTION: Continuous reinforcing fiber bundles F consisting of a large number of continuous monofilaments are passed while pressed by the press member 2 having a protruding curved surface provided along the guide member 3 having a continuous curved surface having a corrugated cross-sectional surface vibrated by vibrators 5, 5' and arranged in opposed relation to the received curved surface of the continuous curved surface and a powdery thermoplastic resin is continuously supplied to the reinforcing fiber bundles F from a supply device 4 to open the fiber bundles F. After the powdery thermoplastic resin is mutually caught between the monofilaments, the whole is heated, melted and cooled to be solidified to obtain a fiber composite sheet which is, in turn, taken up by a winder 9. |
