PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous magnetic ink consisting essentially of magnetic material powder, an aqueous vehicle and water, containing a thermally gelatinizing agent, preventing flow out of ink into paper during drying under heating and water permeation to paper, retaining magnetic recording performances, not causing curl of paper. SOLUTION: This aqueous magnetic ink comprises (A) magnetic material powder such as tri-iron tetroxide,γ-ferric oxide, iron-cobalt, etc., (B) an aqueous vehicle such as an acrylic resin having a high acid value, an acrylic emulsion latex, etc., (C) water and (D) 0.5-5wt.% of a thermally gelatinizing agent such as a cellulose ether (e.g. methyl cellulose, carboxymethyl cellulose or hydroxyethyl cellulose), etc., in an ink. |
