FIELD: electric communication, search for information and identification of frames of communication protocols related to subset of HDLC procedures used in digital communication systems. SUBSTANCE: device has commutator 1, search strategy register 5 ensuring connection of digital flow to input of third register 7. First register 2 and comparator provide for search and identification of flag combination. Third register 7 and decoder 8 carry out extraction of code combination in field of frame control from digital flow and its decoding to obtain information on type of frame. Correction unit 4 ensures detection and removal of pulses corresponding to time of coming of "transparency" bit to input of device from signal of clock synchronization. Such design of device gives possibility of operation of device in real time, achieves zero probability of skip (in case of availability of a period reliable information on structure of field of control of frame in communication protocols), leads to simplified realization and modifications to accommodate any families of communication protocols of dialog type.
