FIELD: railway track engineering. SUBSTANCE: shockless rail joint permits higher travel speed of trains, prolongs service life of rails, reduces vertical vibration of rolling stock and creation of dents on rail ends, and aforesaid is achieved due to the fact that temperature gap between butting rails is broken into two parts which are displaced relative to each other through certain distance over length of rails, and for that purpose both ends of adjoining rails have at one side a rectangular side cutout in rail head, web and foot up to vertical axis of symmetry or one cutout at each side of rail. EFFECT: higher efficiency. |
