<p>A clamping member for fixing an object in a slot (41) or recess in a wall, floor or ceiling (40). The clamping member has one or more feet (2, 52, 53, 54, 70, 83), which feet each have a base part (3') which, in operation, cooperates with a wall (43, 44) of the slot (41), and a connecting part (4, 46, 47, 56) interconnecting the feet (2, 52, 53, 54, 70) or a foot (83) and a coupling member (80). Because the connecting part (4, 46, 47, 56, 82) is resiliently compressible, an improved retention in the slot, an easier fixation and a limitation of the sensitivity to tolerances on the measurement of the slot and the object are obtained. There is also described a tool for fitting clamping members, which tool comprises a storage holder (90) from which stacked, biased clamping members can one by one be fitted and released for relaxing. <IMAGE></p> |
