PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a rodless fluid pressure cylinder to have enhanced sealing performance by having elastic seal members which project into slits and abut to each other so that the slits can be sealed, and having a fluid pressure application means which supplies part of a pressurized fluid to press the seal members toward the slits. SOLUTION: To operate a rodless hydraulic cylinder 1, hydraulic pressure is supplied to one hydraulic operating chamber and is discharged from the other hydraulic operating chamber so that a piston 3 and an output member 5 are moved in the direction of an axis. In this case, since the hydraulic pressure fills two rubber tubes 33 via a hydraulic pressure supply system in an end wall member when the hydraulic pressure is supplied to either of the hydraulic operating chambers, a pair of seal members 31 is strongly pressed toward slits 4, and where the output member 5 does not exist the end faces of the projected parts 31a of both seal members 31 are made to abut to an abutting surface 32 to achieve a sticked state whereby the hydraulic pressure is sealed. |
