PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable low pressure molding and to make warpage after molding hard to generate by adding a thermosetting synthetic resin to opened wooden fibers to form the resulting compsn. and using a form having desired embossed patterns formed thereto on one side to perform thermal compression. SOLUTION: A thermosetting synthetic resin is added to opened wooden fibers. As the thermosetting synthetic resin, a phenol resin or an isocyanate resin is used. A forming mat 10 is formed of these wooden fibers and thermally compressed between a form 11 having desired embossed patterns formed thereto and a lower base plate 12 from above and below for about 5-10min at 100-150 deg.C under pressure of 10-30kg/cm<2> . By this process, a wall material is produced and a decorative sheet is bonded to the surface thereof. A wall material having further decorative properties can be also constituted. In this case, an adhesive is applied to the surface of a wall material base plate and the decorative sheet is placed thereon to be bonded by the form 11. |
