PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the road holding by arranging a hard rubber layer whose Shore A hardness in the prescribed range at room temperature along the outer side face of a fold-back part, setting the ratio of the height of the outer side end in the radial direction of a tire having the hard rubber layer to the height of the tread edge of a tread part in the prescribed range, and setting the inner edge of the hard rubber layer to be lower than the flange height. SOLUTION: A hard rubber layer 8 is arranged along the outer surface of a fold-back part 6b of a carcass 6. The hard rubber layer 8 is of high hardness in the range of 60-90 deg. in terms of the Shore A hardness at 20-25 deg.C. In an assembly 1 of the tire and its adaptable rim, the value of the ratio (a)/H of the height (a) of the outer edge in the radial direction of the tire of the hard rubber layer 8 measured from the position of a flange 10F of a rim 10 to the height H of the edge 4tD of a tread 4t of a tread part 4 measured from the position of the flange 10F is in the range of 0.1-0.7, preferably in the range of 0.1-0.6. Sufficient rigidity of the tire and the extensive ground area can be compatibly realized, and the steering stability can be improved. |
