PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute good spot welding by decreasing the welding current necessary for resistance spot welding of an aluminum material. SOLUTION: An insert material 6 is powder contg. 25 to 100(at.%) Ti and 0 to 75(at.%) Al and the insert material 6 is interposed between the joint surfaces of aluminum materials 1, 2 to be welded at the time of interposing the insert material 6 between these joint surfaces and subjecting the surfaces to resistance spot welding. The surface oxidized films of the aluminum materials 1, 2 are removed at the time of energization from electrodes 3, 4 and the resistance spot welding is executed with low current by utilizing the reaction heat of Ti and Al. |
