PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a vehicle speed just after the vehicle gets over an obstacle on a road from getting faster than a desired speed by outputting a control signal responsive to the number of revolution of an engine to decelerating and braking means the the number of revolution of the engine is larger a threshold value. SOLUTION: When a driver meets an obstacle and stops there, he presses an accelerating pedal to increase the number of revolution of an engine to get over the obstacle. In this case, the upper limit (Rmax ) of the number of revolution of the engine is calculated as the upper limit of the number of revolution of the engine (R) in a normal state from a shift position (S) and a wheel speed (V). The number of revolution of the engine (R) is compared with the upper limit (Rmax ) of the number of revolution of the engine and it is judged if the equation of R>Rmax holds. Since the vehicle speed is larger than a desired speed when the vehicle gets over the obstacle on the road, decelerating and braking means 5 are controlled such that it generates braking force proportional to the number of revolution of the engine.
|
