PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To objectively measure an ideal lie angle fitted to an individual form by measuring the distance between a horizontal surface part and a grip end, when the head of a golf club is touched by the horizontal surface, as the lie angle in impact fitted to the form. SOLUTION: A player P puts on a horizontal surface part 1a, holds the grip (b) of a third iron club (a), for example, only by the left hand, and stands erect in natural state so that the back and rear head part make contact with the front of a standing wall surface 1b. The left hand holding the club (a) touches the side of the left thigh, the club (a) is straightly extended to the front of the left foot to bring the sole of the head (c) into contact with the horizontal surface part 1a. The angle formed by the horizontal surface part 1a and the shaft (d) of the club (a) when the player P stands erect in this state forms an ideal lie angle in actual impact of the player P. When the scale plate 3a of a measuring tool 3 is touched to the standing wall surface 1b, the lie angle can be immediately measured since the scale converted into lie angle is indicated thereon.
|
