PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluffed fabric with firm texture, with its surface having soft but firm touch feeling, and having beautiful luster and deep color tone. SOLUTION: Continuous polyester fibers in at least either of the surface layers of a polyester fabric are taperedly cut everywhere to form surface fluffs. At least one side of this fabric is coated with a treating liquid having a viscosity of 200-1500 poise and formulated with an ingredient capable of decomposing or dissolving the continuous polyester fibers to effect lowering the sectional area of the fiber at a part being in contact with the liquid and cutting them, thus obtaining the objective fabric. |
