PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a self-adhesive polyvinyl chloride tape which can be easily cut with fingers without detriment to strengths by forming V-or U-shaped grooves with specified dimensions and shapes in the width direction on a vinyl chloride resin tape contg. fine inorg. particles. SOLUTION: In a self-adhesive polyvinyl chloride tape obtd. by forming a self-adhesive layer on a tape formed from a resin compsn. comprising 100 pts.wt. vinyl chloride resin and 5-40 pts.wt. fine inorg. particles having an average particle size of 0.1-10μm, linear grooves having V-or U-shaped cross-sections are formed in the width direction, the depth of the grooves being 1/20-2/5 the tape thickness T and the pitch of the grooves being 50-300μm. Angles A and B between the inclined surface of the grooves and the tape surface or angles A and B between the tangential line at the position of a half the depth of the U groove and the tape surface satisfy the relation represented by formulas 1 to 4. This tape can easily be cut with fingers of both hands without using scissors or a cutter.
