PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording medium with high transparency, excellent OHP suitability and excellent ink jet recording suitability such as ink absorbability and color developing properties by making a base material of a lactic acid polymer substance and making the degree of haze of the recording medium at most a specified value in the recording medium with at least the base material and an ink receiving layer. SOLUTION: A sheet-like material prepd. by making a biodegradable plastic consisting of a polylactic acid polymer substance into a thickness of about 100μm is used as a base material. A coating liq. consisting of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, a cation-modified polyvinyl alcohol and water is applied thereon by a bar coater method so as to make the amt. of coating about 100g/m<2> and then, it is dried at about 8 deg.C for about 10min to prepare an ink receiving layer with a thickness of about 10μm and to obtain a recording medium with a degree of haze of at most 15%. It is obtd. thereby to have good ink jet recording suitability and excellent OHP suitability. |
