PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling water overflow system of outboard motor that dispenses with a separate overflow tube. SOLUTION: This overflow system is provided with an engine holder 4, an engine 6 set up on top of this engine holder 4 via an oil seal housing 5, a drive shaft housing 8 set up in an lower part of the engine holder 4, and an exhaust passage 45 extending from the engine 6 to under water through the drive shaft housing 8, respectively. In addition, at the upstream side of this exhaust passage 45, an upper bending part 48 is set up in an upper part of the engine holder 4. On the other hand, an exhaust channel 42 extending toward the lower part is connected to this upper bending part 48, forming a cooling water sump 58 around this exhaust channel 42 and also forming an overflow passage 59, interconnecting the exhaust channel 42 and the cooling water sump 58 together, in a part of the upper bending part 48. |
