PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lubricant compsn. for rolling of a metal which has excellent stability, is free from rolling troubles, such as slipping or a failure of biting during rolling under low load conditions, and exhibits lubricating effects, such as prevention of seizure, reduced rolling load, and reduced abrasion of a tool. SOLUTION: This lubricant compsn. for rolling of a metal comprises a highly basic metal sulfonate, having a base number of not less than 150mgKOH/g, in an amt. of 5 to 20wt.% based on the total wt. of the compsn., and at least one compound selected from among a graphite, having an average particle diameter of not more than 10μm, in an amt. of 0.1 to 20wt.% based on the total amt. of the compsn., calcium carbonate, having an average particle diameter of 0.02 to 5μm, in an amt. of 0.1 to 20wt.% based on the total amt. of the compsn., and a phosphonic ester, having an acid value of not more than 40 mgKOH/g, in an amt. of 0.1 to 30wt.% based on the total amt. of the compsn. |
