PUMPING PLANT, PUMP AND METHOD OF PUMPING OUT FLUIDS

FIELD: pumping liquids out of deep wells. SUBSTANCE: flexible diaphragm forms cavities for actuating medium and liquid to be pumped out. Cavities are formed by one or several chambers arranged inside pump casing between end walls of the casing. Cavities for liquid to be pumped out are in free communication with casing; they are part of this casing and are brought in communication with source of medium to be pumped out through suction valve; they are also in communication with discharge passage through delivery valve. Actuating medium (liquid) cavities are brought into communication with its source by means of respective branch pipes located in casing and actuating medium passage. Hydraulic motor located on ground or directly above the pump in tubing may be used as actuating medium source. Flexible diaphragms may be shaped to form of surface of chamber wall forming the respective chamber when pressure in other chamber exceeds that in first one by no more than 10 percent of maximum working pressure differential. Cavities for medium to be pumped out are brought in communication with its source and with passage for its discharge in turn. To this end, pressure in actuating medium cavities is changed cyclically at supply and discharge of medium. Position and shape of flexible diaphragms in chambers are changed cyclically as well. In each cycle of above-mentioned changes, volume of actuating medium fed to respective cavities is kept lesser than difference between maximum and minimum volumes of cavities for medium to be pumped out at any extreme position of flexible diaphragms. EFFECT: increased overhaul period for pump; enhanced maintainability of pumps and extended range of medium being handled.
