<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove or decrease the hydrogen sulfide and sulfide included in water and to prevent the consumption of a large quantity of dissolved oxygen in water by introducing a hydrogen sulfide-contg. water to a desulfurization vessel and precipitating sulfur particles from the hydrogen sulfide-contg. water by the effect of photosynthesis sulfur bacteria, thereby recovering the sulfur particles. SOLUTION: The water 1' of the water basin in which hydrogen sulfide is dissolved is supplied by a pump P3 to the desulfurization vessel 7 where the water is subjected to a photosynthesis by the effect of the sulfur bacteria to precipitate the dissolved sulfur and to recover the sulfur as the sulfur particles. The sunlight is condensed with high efficiency by a light collecting plate 8 in order to make the effect of the photosynthesis more effective. The light is introduced by an optical cable 9 to the part of the desulfurization vessel 7 where the sulfur parts are efficiently removed and recovered from the hydrogen sulfide-contg. water by using the photosynthesis sulfur bacteria. The treated water of the desulfurization vessel 7 where the sulfur particles are released via a suspended matter capturing vessel 6 is discharged to the original water basin. As a result, the return of the precipitated sulfur in the form of hydrogen sulfide to the water basin by the reduction effect is prevented.</p> |
