FIELD: manually-operated hoisting and pulling facilities. SUBSTANCE: winch has body 1, driven worm 4 installed in body 1, worm gear 5, pulling rope 7 interconnected with worm gear 5, and lock 8 installed outside body 1. Drive of worm 4 is made in the form of chain 9 interacting with sprocket 10 mounted on shaft 11 of driven worm 4. Lock 8 is in the form of cylinder mounted on body 1 with clearance 10 having bevelled side surface along chord below cylinder axis and provided with a tooth at each end of bevelled part for interaction with chain 9 of drive of worm 4 at bending of chain 9 perpendicularly to vertical line of chain 9.
