METHOD FOR REJECTING RANDOM SIGNALS RECORDED ON A MAGNETIC MEDIUM

FIELD: instrument engineering; computer engineering; handling of random-process telemetry results. SUBSTANCE: spectral analyses of both electric signals that are realizations of a random signal of interest and a reference signal with a broad frequency spectrum are performed. The reference signal is analyzed over the frequency range of the random process under study. Distorted record areas on a magnetic medium which are associated with the random signal of interest are rejected by comparing spectrograms of the random and reference signals. EFFECT: facilitated procedure.
