PRODUCTION OF ETHYLENE

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique attaining high selectivity of ethylene even when the concn. of ethane in reactive gas and the rate of conversion of ethane are increased. SOLUTION: Ethane is allowed to react with oxygen in the presence of a catalyst for production of ethylene by oxidation of ethane. This catalyst contains SiO2 and a small amt. of oxide of at least one among Fe, Mn, Cu and Co as active components.
