PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optically active isomer having a high optical purity in a large amount and at a low cost from the racemate of an oxaziridine which is useful as an intermediate raw material for synthesizing various fine chemicals but relatively unstable in the atmosphere. SOLUTION: A method for separating the optically active isomer of an oxaziridine comprises mixing the racemate of the oxaziridine such as a compound of formula I (Ar is phenyl, etc.,) with a host compound comprising an optically active tartaric acid derivative of formula II or III (Ar' is phenyl, etc.; n is 4, 5) and subsequently separating the optically active oxaziridine from the formed clathrate compound of the optically active oxaziridine with the optically active host compound. |
