PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the detachment force of a snap member by pressing around the snap member, restraining the side face of the snap member further, pulling the snap member at a right angle from an attachment surface and then measuring the tensile force. SOLUTION: The part of the flange of the snap member is held between horizontal jaw supporting plates 26 from a side part. Cloth (e), to which a female snap member (c) for instance is attached by an attaching member (d) is mounted on the surface of a die 27 so as to array the female snap member (c) on the axial line of a bolt 15 with a screw, a jaw adjustment dial 21 is rotated and the side faces of the snap member are grasped and restrained. Also, the adjustment dial of a pressing arm 30 is rotated and the cloth is pressed with the annular tip. Then, a wheel is rotated, a tensile force gauge is slowly pulled up and the value of the gauge is read. When pulling detachment does not occur even when a prescribed value is exceeded, it is defined that prescribed tensile detachment force is guaranteed.
