The system sends target identification signals to the fire conduction unit (4) which incorporates the following components firmly connected to the air defence weapon barrel (5): a camera (6) for infrared or visible light, with a specific azimuth and elevation visual field alpha degrees, a laser distance meter, an angle measurer (9, 10) in azimuth and elevation, a picture processing component (11), and a fire conducting computer (12). The target identification unit (2) momentarily forms two continuously updated coordinates in azimuth and elevation, corresponding to the target (3) centre of gravity, which are signalled to the fire conducting computer (12). An operator (13), based on this information, gives a command to the fire conducting unit so that via the servo-motors the weapon barrel is aligned with the coordinates. The camera continuously sends picture information to the picture processing component, which automatically covers the target (3), indicating its position in the camera picture field in relation to a reference, such as the picture centre. |
