PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the offset of a signal caused by an offset of an optical axis by moving an incident position of reflected light on a photodetector in interlocking with movement of an objective lens. SOLUTION: Actuators 12 and 13 for the objective lens(OL) 6 and the photodetector(PD) 8 respectively are connected in series, and a moving amt. of the PD 8 is made proportional to a moving amt. of the OL 6. Then, the OL 6 is moved by a prescribed amt., and at this point, a variable resistor 14 is adjusted to a value not to generate the offset of a tracking error signal. Consequently, the adjustment can easily be performed not to generate the offset of the tracking error signal of the PD 8 in whatever OL moving position. Then, when a inclination takes place between a recording medium 10 and the OL 6, the PD 8 is moved in the direction of canceling an offset. |
