PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable preview processing with sufficient operability by executing reading from a recording medium without scanning an original at the time of editing a preview image so as to redisplay it. SOLUTION: Since data written in an image memory 208 is changed at every editing in a preview mode at the time of an RGB display mode within the preview mode, a processing is started from original reading at every writing. In the meantime, at the time of CMYK display mode, data in the image memory part 208 is not changed by editing so that reading is executed fom the image memory part 208. That is, in accordance with whether or not data written in the memory in the image memory part 208 is changed at every editing in the preview mode, a system at the time or redisplay becomes different. Therefore, the image is not required to be fetched by scanning the original by a reader part at the time of redisplay in the CMYK display mode and the processing from CCD 201 to a variable magnification part 234 can be skipped. |
