PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device enabling emphasis of the relation between a face image and characters, various change of an expression of the face image and also improvement of visibility by a simple construction and an easy control. SOLUTION: In a basic clock mode, the contour of a portrait is displayed in a segment area 20a, while 'eye' and a 'mouth' corresponding to data on physical conditions are displayed in a dot matrix area 20b. In a data base mode, characters (name) relating to a person corresponding to the portrait and information on the displayed data are displayed, together with the contour of the portrait, in the dot matrix area 20b in accordance with an operating mode so as to emphasize the relation between the portrait and the characters. In a game mode, besides, data on different expressions are displayed one after another in the dot matrix area 20b and the display is stopped at the portrait having been displayed at the start of a game so that gaming properties be obtained. |
