PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method and its device capable of uniformly forming a thin toner layer on a developing roller and also preventing toner- scattering. SOLUTION: The developing roller 3 is made of conductive rubber, and negative-charged toner is stuck on the developing roller 3. The developing roller 3 is rotated counterclockwise, a photoreceptor drum 2 is rotated clockwise. On this side of a doctor blade 6, an electrode plate 14 is installed with leaving a gap between the developing roller 3 and the plate 14. A voltage obtained by superposing an AC voltage 17 on a DC voltage 16 is impressed on the electrode plate 14. The amount of the DC voltage 16 can be changed. A DC voltage 15 is impressed on the shaft of the developing roller 3. Since the AC voltage 17 is impressed, the toner lying under the electrode plate 14 is vibrated, then, the flowability is increased, and after the toner passes through the doctor blade 6, the toner lying on the developing roller 3 is formed into the uniformly thin layer. It is allowable to install a piezoelectric element such as a PZT on the position of the electrode plate 14. |
