PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium battery which excels in a storage characteristic by making the reaction of a manganese oxide to an ethylene carbonate hard to occur by an additive agent added to the manganese oxide to suppress self- discharge. SOLUTION: A lithium battery comprising a positive electrode using a manganese oxide as an active material, a negative electrode using lithium as an active material and a nonaqueous electrolytic solution using LiCF3 SO3 or LiPF6 as a solute and using an ethylene carbonate or a mixed solvent containing an ethylene carbonate as a solvent is provided. A specific additive agent of 0.1 to 20 parts by mole relative to manganese of 100 parts by mole in a manganese oxide is added to the manganese oxide. |
