HIGH SPEED REPRODUCTION METHOD FOR COMPRESSED IMAGE AND IMAGE REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the high speed reproducing method for a compressed image and the image reproducing device realizing high speed reproduction by using coded data coded by the field structure coding method. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an optical disk 1 on which compressed coding data strings are recorded, a read head 2 reading the coded data from the optical disk 1, a coding method detector 4 detecting whether or not coded data of each read frame are two in-field coded data in the case of reproducing an image at an interval of plural frames, and a decoder 5 decoding the coded data when the coding method detector 4 detects two in-field coded data.
