摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an electric field compensating electrode by extremely simple configuration. SOLUTION: A cathode-ray tube is provided with an outer peripheral equipment 20 constituted of a neck part 3 incorporating an electron gun, a panel part 1 where a phosphor surface to which an electron beam from the electron gun is applied is formed on an inner wall and a funnel part 2 connecting the pannel part 1 and the neck part 3, a horizontal deflection coil 7A fitted to the outer periphery at the neck part 3 side of the funnel part 2, an anode button 10 which is provided at a part of the funnel part 2 so as to introduce a high voltage into the outer peripheral equipment 20 and a grounding black lead film 8 which is separated from the anode button so as to be formed on the outer wall surface of the funnel part 2. In the tube, the electric field compensating electrode 9 for impressing the high pressure pulse voltage e1 which is impressed on the horizontal deflection coil 7A and the pulse voltage e2 of a reverse polarity is formed in an area between the anode button 10 and the black lead film 8.
