The flow control device has two control vanes (1,2) each with their own electrical actuation (40,50) and their own transmission mechanism (43,42) coupling the actuators to the vanes. The control vanes are placed in different ducts. The actuators and transmission are mounted to the side of one of the ducts. The control vane nearer the actuators has a hollow central hub (13) that allows a drive shaft for the second vane to pass freely through. The transmission to the vanes is via toothed gear sectors. The sector driving the first vane fits over the outside of the hub of the first vane, and allows the centre of the second sector to couple to the shaft passing through the first vane.
