PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the display of the name of a spot, through which a vehicle passed by specifying a close sport near the present position among the spots located in the specified angle range with respect to the advancing direction of the vehicle. SOLUTION: A GPS receiver 1 has a GPS antenna 1a, an amplifier 1b and a GPS receiving and processing part 1c, receives the radio wave from artificial satellite, performs position measuring processing and outputs the coordinate data of the present position such as the latitude and the longitude indicating the present position of a vehicle and the like. A key input part 2 is operated by person in the vehicle and the like and outputs various kinds of operating signals required for navigation. A controller 3 has a CPU 3a, a ROM 3b, RAM 3c and the like, receives the present-position coordinate data from the signal receiver 1 and the key input signal from the key input part 2 and performs the operation for displaying the name of the present position. When the destination is set by using the key input part 2, the direction to the destination and the distance to the destination are obtained, and the operation for displaying these values is executed. |
